At the moment on instagram there's an amazing insta challenge going on called March Meet the Maker. It was created by an illustrator called Joanne Hawker a few years ago and takes place for the whole of March each year.
Anyone creative is welcome to take part, but there is a heavy focus on indie makers, who are running their own creative business, whether if it is as an illustrator, jeweller, silversmith, printmaker, capmaker (cough) or however you would describe yourself.
Each day there is a different prompt, like "work in progress" or "colour" & it is a really great way to connect with other makers and for us small business owners a great way to get ideas working in our little brains for creating content. Something that as multi-taskers leaves our brain a little frazzled sometimes! But at the moment for marketing we need to keep chugging out!
Also it's just fucking fun creating new pics that work with the theme for each day. Personally I've met some lifelong pals taking part in years before and with covid it's worth it's gold connecting to other humans and getting some inspiration.
And you can have a nosy at a LOT more info about the capalog and things happening behind the scenes like new denim colours coming soon, in the below pic! Which was for monday's post of "work in progress".
There are approximately 20k followers of the hashtag #marchmeetthemaker AND #marchmeetthemaker2021, so I genuinely recommend checking it out. Especially if you love being nosy and seeing into lots of creatives studios and work environments.
