This weekend, on saturday the 4th June: The Capalog will be at Crafty Fox Market in London (Elephant & Castle), 11-5pm at Mercato Metropolitano.
If you haven't been to Mercato before, it is the home of endless amounts of street food and drinks. Perfect place for a saturday day out! Browse the stalls, get some street food and a couple of drinks. As for the market, there will be 30+ makers with stalls, so it's a perfect place to browse and get some presents if you have any birthdays coming up, or just treat yourself and really enjoy the bank holiday weekend. Click on the poster above to head straight to the lineup for the day for more info on who will be there!
Last time I got the best hotdog with goats cheese and guac all over it. I know, goats cheese on a hotdog? (fyi unexpected hotdog gamechanger)
As for the capalog and what to expect from caps, at the moment Crafty Fox is my only London market, so it's your only chance in the big smoke to try caps on in real life and take away a cap there and then.
Style wise, there is a selection of the basic caps, panel caps and markets are the only place you can get a sale basic cap. The sale basics are normally discontinued colours for example, such as Mustard Denim, Green, Brick and Orange. These are all £20 instead of the regular £35.
Markets are also the only place where you can get a discount on ordering ANY cap in your size. As the caps are all made to order in weekly batches, I introduced a new system as a balance for minimising textile waste produced for markets and to encourage supporting slow fashion.
Essentially if your size in a particular cap isn't available on the day, you can get a 15% discount on your cap order, to be made up in the next weeks batch, either ordered on the day of the market or you can use it online yourself later. But the markets are the ONLY place where you can get this. You can always order a cap full price too obvs. But it's a top tip if you really really want a cap but can't afford full price at the mo!
Mercato also has yellow funky tables as our stalls, which I am a sucker for!? Team yellow anything here.. :D
