The winter events have now kicked off! So far I've had open studios and Crafty Fox at The British Library in London.
Next up is Endless Love Creative in Sheffield this weekend!
Endless Love is a great market with warm welcoming vibes and it's also a curated makers market, so every trader has been selected because of what they make and how they make it. So think beaut ceramics, illustrated prints, handmade silversmithed jewellery, but everything has had thought behind it, as in every single trader REALLY cares about their craft and makes intentional decisions. I'm crap at putting it into words, so you're prob better off checking the list of traders and photos of their work below!
List of traders is here: www.endlesslovecreative.com
For caps, markets are a great chance to try on caps in person in real life and see how they suit you and how they fit. For clothing this can be tricky to figure out without seeing them in person, so I try to get across the country as much as poss to offer the opportunities for you to see in person!
For most makers markets, we get trestle tables, so I try to bring as much as poss that fits on that 6ft space, whilst keeping a balance between not creating too much textile waste, i.e. not bringing every single style in each size. Whilst still giving the opportunity to buy and order.
Size wise I always bring at least one of each of all the sizes, so you can try on all the sizes. Style wise there are cord panel caps, monochrome panel caps, lots of basic panel caps, cord flannel trappers caps and colour charts so you can also order a custom colour block panel cap at the stall.
Location wise this weekend, ELC is held at the Showroom cinema right in Sheffield city centre. This is right across from the train station, next to Kollective kitchen and their yummy salads, cakes and proper coffees. Dogs are definitely welcome at the market also, so it's kinda got everything you need for a day out!
